Golf and Greenkeeping

Welcome to Woodcote Park, our clubhouse set in 350 acres of Surrey countryside in the Epsom Downs. The tree-lined grounds are home to two 18-hole golf courses – the historic Old Course and the Coronation Course.
Back in 1940, a Hawker Hurricane made a forced landing at Woodcote Park and its pilot received medical assistance in the clubhouse, having first proved his nationality by waving a packet of Player’s cigarettes at golfers in the vicinity. Today, our superb multinational team maintains the courses, gardens and public spaces in an inspired, environmentally sustainable plan that ranges from course architecture and woodland management to the reintroduction of our own beehives.
The Golf Team typifies what makes the Club such a special place to work. In our multifaceted operation, you may be working within one of our member-facing teams, which include the Club Shop, Golf Reception or Concierge, where you will support Golf Operations. Our PGA Professionals and Assistant Professionals deliver exceptional golfing services to our Members, encompassing both instructional lessons and equipment repair. Behind the scenes, our Greenkeeping Team diligently maintains both courses, ensuring they are presented in optimal condition while continuously enhancing the quality of the playing surfaces and the overall course layout.
